Family Vea pioneered organic farming. When in Spain was not yet any regulation in this regard. Currently all family farms, plus of 11 farmers in our area are grown naturally with the control and certification of CCPAE - Catalan Council of Organic Farming - under Community law. The certification is obtained after three years to make organic farming, while necessary for the earth to remove traces of sulfates were used.
The climate of our area is ideal for organic growing of olives of the variety 'Arbequina'. During the winter the weather is very cold - temperatures as low as -5 to -7 degrees - and lots of fog, these two factors together forms a layer of frost on the olive tree which serves to eliminate most of the insects.
Each bottle is numbered and indicates the year of harvest. This oil is well suited for salads and starters.
