Laguna de Fuente de Piedra

SAT In Labrador, with its olive trees located in the area of influence of the Nature Reserve of Laguna de Fuente de Piedra, grow olive tress in their land in a traditional sustainable way. Our work is developed according to a cycle of exploitation. To fertilize the olive trees are used by-products of mill: alpechín and pomace, as well as pruning and vegetation cover.
This organic fertilizers contribute to good general condition of the olive and the best production. About 80% of the harvest will come again to earth and 20% represents our compensation, the juice of the olive.
Labrador olives come exclusively from their own land. They are obtained from selected fruits, by the procedure FIRST LOW TEMPERATURE EXTRACTION, on the same day of collection and looking at all times the process hygiene. The different colors, flavors and smells due to the variety of olive and its maturation.
We pack only Extra Virgin Olive Oil, with an acidity lower than two tenths (less than 0.2%) and varieties Vidueña, Lechin, Picual, Arbequina, Pico Limón and Gordalilla.
Olive oil produced and bottled by SAT Labrador under the trademark La Laguna de Fuente de Piedra, is undoubtedly one of the best oils from Spain and the world, having received the most important awards in the sector nationally and internationally in several occasions. Some of these awards are:
-Prize for the best Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Spain by the Ministry of Agriculture in Fruity Sweet Green category in 2011.
-Gold medal in the Mario Salinas Award by the IOC (International Olive Oil Council) in 2011 and 2008, Intense Green category.
-Prize for the best Extra Virgin Olive Oil of Malaga 2011.
-Prize for the best Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Spain by the Ministry of Agriculture in the Sweet Green category in 2001, 2005 and 2011. Winner of this award again in 2004 in the category of Bitter Greens.
-Oil China 2011: Bronze in the category intense fruity.
